Accelerated Reader (AR) is our school-wide reading program.  The steps are simple. 

Students

1. Read an Accelerated Reader book. .
2. Take a computerized 10-20 multiple choice question test on the book.
3. Earn points.
4. Earn grades in English classes and win prizes from the library.
5. Improve reading skills and comprehension.

AR for 9^th - 10 grade students

Students in 9^th or 10^th grade use the Accelerated Reader web-based software program.  To find an AR book, students may ask a librarian or an English teacher, check the library catalog, or use www.arbookfind.com to determine if an AR test is available for the book title. 

AR for 11^th-12^th grade students

Students in 11^th or 12^th grades use the AR desktop software program and must choose AR books from a list of approximately 1,000 titles.  The list is shown below and is available in the library and in English teachers’ classrooms.
