Meet the Administrators



Mr. J. Newman has been involved in education for more than 30 years.  He received his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from LSU.  He was a science & math teacher and baseball coach prior to making the move into adminstration 9 years ago.  He served as Vice President of the LHSAA Executive Committee.

Mr. G. Blankenship has been an educator since 1991 and currently serves as Assistant Principal at Woodlawn.  He is originally from West Virginia and before coming to Louisiana served in the U.S. Army before earning his degree at Concord College.

Mrs. V. Myers is a native of Atlanta, GA, and received her Bachelor's and Masters degrees from Southern University. She assumed the duties of Assistant Principal in Spring '07. 

Ms. Shalika Scott joined the WHS administrative staff in Oct., 2010. She is a native of Baton Rouge. She was an instructor of Curriculum and Instruction in the content area of Social Studies. In 2001 she began her teaching in high school. She started as a Glen Oaks HS panther and she returned as a WHS panther! Her favorite hobby is shopping! 
  
 

Coach D. Jones, in addition to being our Athletic Director and Head Football Coach, also serves as Dean of Students.  Coach Jones earned his B.S. degree from Louisiana College in 1971. He's been a teacher and coach for 40 years! He came to Woodlawn in the Spring of 2006.
